| The Object of Rotary
is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
* FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

El Objetivo de Rotary
es estimular y fomentar el ideal de servicio como base de toda empresa digna y, en particular, estimular y fomentar:
PRIMERO. El desarrollo del conocimiento mutuo como ocasión de servir.
SEGUNDO. La observancia de elevadas normas de ética en las actividades profesionales y empresariales; el reconocimiento del valor de toda ocupación útil, y la dignificación de la propia en beneficio de la sociedad.
TERCERO. La puesta en práctica del ideal de servicio por parte de todos los rotarios en su vida privada, profesional y pública.
CUARTO. El fomento de la comprensión, la buena voluntad y la paz entre las naciones, a través del compañerismo de las personas que ejercen actividades profesionales y empresariales, unidas en torno al ideal de servicio.

  La Lic. Guillermina Dueñas, regidora electa del Municipio de Compostela estuvo en representación del Presidente electo, Dr Pablo Pimienta estuvo en la reunión. La semana pasada, Carlos Rendón invitó al Dr. Pimienta en La Peñita a la sesión del Club, pero no pudo asistir por una salida a la Ciudad de México y le pidió a la Lic. Dueñas representarlo.
County supervisor elect, Lic. Guillermina Dueñas brought a message on behalf of the Municipality of Compostela President-elect, Dr. Pablo Pimienta. Last week, Carlos Rendón saw and invited Dr. Pimienta to our weekly meeting, due to his new position he was in Mexico City and asked Lic. Dueñas to represent him.

El 6 de julio la nueva directiva tomó protesta, Abraham Lopez Sanchez en nombre de la Dra. Lidiana Flores como presidenta 2011-2012 y su mesa directiva, Rick Helberg, secretario, Carlos Rendon, tesorero, Arturo Vasquez, Macero, Susana Conners, Relaciones Publicas y Viki Robelo, Fundación Rotaria.On July 6 the new board took their oath, Abraham Lopez Sanchez representing Dr. Lidiana Flores, President 2011-2012, Rick Helberg, Secretary, Carlos Rendón, Treasurer, Arturo Vasquez, Macero, Susana Conners, Public Relations and Viki Robelo, Rotary Foundation.
Tambien tomaron protesta los nuevos miembros del club Owen Walcher y Cat Morgan.
Owen Walcher and Cat Morgan were inducted as new club members.

EXPANDS ITS SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCEJaltemba Bay La Peñita Rotarians, returning from the Rotary International Conference in New Orleans, brought back ideas and information on the importance of expanding its social media presence. In quick order, Rotary member Owen introduced Christina Famigliette specializing in social media technology, who gave an informative presentation last week to its members. Stay tuned for a more streamlined integration of our news reporting, communication and publications, through our weekly news bulletin, our web site and our social media venues such as Facebook, Utub, Twitter, blogs and Flickr. Al regresar de la Conferencia de Rotary International en Nueva Orleans, Rotarios de Bahía de Jaltemba La Peñita trajeron ideas e información sobre la importancia de ampliar su presencia en los medios de redes sociales. En rápida sucesión, los rotarios que se especializa en tecnología de medios sociales, Owen presentó a Christina Famiglietti para hacer una presentación informativa la semana pasada a sus miembros. Learning for Life
Student Leadership Training Program
 The first “Learning for Life” workshop is scheduled for Sunday, August 21 at Los Mangos Public Library in Puerto Vallarta. Debbie Walton, an expert sports director with extensive background working with youth in many countries around the world, will lead the workshop. There will be approximately 70 students attending, 30 from Chacala and 40 from La Peñita. (Click here for complete article).We are still looking for mentors from Rotary. What is a Mentor?
A mentor is a coach, guide, tutor, facilitator, councelor and trusted advisor. A mentor is someone willing to spend his or her time and expertise to guide the development of another person.
“Learning for Life” is made possible thanks to a matching grant from The Rotary Foundation, RC of Kalispell and Bahía de Jaltemba and in association with “Cambiando Vidas” and “Los Amigos de La Peñita”

“Aprendiendo por Vida”
Programa de Liderazgo Estudiantil
El primer taller de “Aprendiendo por Vida” está programado para el domingo, 21 de agosto en la Biblioteca Los Mangos de Puerto Vallarta. Debbie Walton, una directora experta en deportes, con amplia experiencia trabajando con jóvenes en muchos países alrededor del mundo, dirigirá el taller. Graduación de CBTA #107 Zacualpan
El sábado 9 de julio se celebró la graduación de estudiantes de CBTA #107 Zacualpan y de Prepa Abierta. Hubo reconocimiento del apoyo que les brindó los Clubes Rotarios para rehabilitar la escuela.
On Saturday, July 9, CBTA #107 Zacualpan held their graduation ceremonies for regular high school students and for the Saturday Adult Continuation Students that completed their high school diplomas. There were many accolades for Rotary and all the clubs that contributed to the rehabilitation of the school this past semester.

Co-chairman Intercambio EstudiantilesInvitada Especial 27 de Julio
Rocío Nava, rotariamente “Kiri”, es la nueva co-chairman de intercambio estudiantiles para la zona Bahía de Banderas, Puerto Vallarta y La Peñita de Jaltemba. Su cargo es fomentar mas intercambios en esta zona y será invitada especial para hacer una presentación del programa el miércoles 27. Esta es una buena oportunidad para Los Amigos de La Peñita y Cambiando Vidas además de invitar a tus amigos maestros, profesores y directores de preparatorias y universidades para conocer mas acerca de este programa.

Rocio Nava, know in Rotary as “Kiri”, is the new co-chairman of the student exhcange program for the area of Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta and La Peñita de Jaltemba. Her role is to encourage more exchanges in this area and has been invited to make a special presentation of the program on Wednesday 27. This is a good opportunity to invite Los Amigos and Cambiando Vidas as well as your friends, teachers, professors and directors of colleges and universities to learn more about this program.

Porque es importante para el Distrito el ILR?
El éxito o fracaso de un Club Rotario depende principalmente de la calidad de liderazgo del club. Un liderazgo pobre es la principal causa de pérdidas de socios en los clubes. Debido a los cambios anuales de los dirigentes de un Club, Rotary requiere de un flujo constante de rotarios informados que tengan las habilidades de liderazgo necesarias para motivar a los miembros de su club y llevarlo adelante.
