My wife and I are going to be down in a couple of weeks and really enjoy cycling. What type of riding does the area offer? i.e. trails, road etc…thanks. We are hoping to rent bikes from you when we arrive…do we need to book them in advance?
From Lo de Marcos there are approximately 30-40 kilometers of farm roads that travel back in to the mountains as well as connect to the towns further North of us. The roads can be rough, steep and dusty. There is a group of cyclists that leave from Lo de Marcos most Tuesdays and Thursdays and will travel 30 kilometers or more in a few hours. Stop by the store and we can put you in touch with the group.
Likely we will have bikes available when you arrive however we do only have 2 bikes with front suspension. If you would like to send us an email with the dates you would like to rent we can make arrangements for those bikes to be available.
Hi – do you know where I can rent a kayak when I am in the area>
Unfortunately we have decided not to rent the kayaks due to legalities. Kayaks are considered a boat and therefore must be registered and insured as such, not to mention the additional costs for third party liability. If you are able to find a kayak for rent, I would suggest making sure that they also have liability insurance in force. Now if you decide you’d like to buy a kayak, we just happen to have 6 for sale.
what are the prices for a fishing trip from lo de marcos?
Mauricio and his son Miguel own a 22′ panga with canopy and fighting chairs. They charge 500 pesos per hour, minimum of 4 hours and can accomodate up to 4 people fishing. Fishing in the area has been exceptional the past few weeks. Many tuna, snapper and dorado are being caught not too far off shore. If you are interested in booking a trip, please send us an email.

Our current products are fishing rods, reels, lures etc, Benotto bicycles, accessories and repair parts, Coleman products and locally designed and manufactured kites made from ripstop nylon. We will be adding to our product lines during the summer season. We can also make arrangements for fishing, snorkeling and sailing tours from La Cruz, Punta Mita and Lo de Marcos.
