If you are asking why a song by Elvis you probably did not notice the Spanish words scrolling across the screen.Si estas piensando en por qué una canción de Elvis es probable que no se dio cuenta de las palabras escrito en español.

Read stories in both languages:

The web site is especially designed to switch between English and Spanish so that language learners can use it as a resource.  Caution:  The site remembers what language you were using when last you exited.  You may need to click the language button next time you come back.

For beginners it has some articles written in very simple English and Spanish. In order of difficulty they are: My name is John.

The intermediate learner will find some articles written to try to keep the wording as close to similar as possible so that sentence for sentence the meaning is the same. This leads to an article which may not flow well in either language but it helps intermediate learners. Two examples are Arturo’s first basketball report and Uruguay 1-0 Mexico

The experienced reader can improve their vocabulary and get accustomed to local usage of the language.

Notes:

GRAMMAR is not always correct. We try but it is a struggle. There is a comment section where you can help us correct any mistakes in either language. We do believe that to learn the language is more important than to learn it 100% grammatically correct so please enjoy. A Spanish page which has not been checked for correctness by a Spanish speaker will have the first line as “Todavia estamos comprobando la traducción” i.e. we are still checking the translation. Unfortunately the volume of articles does not allow us time to translate all articles.

Leer cuentos en dos idiomas:

El sitio web está especialmente diseñado para cambiar entre Inglés y español para que los estudiantes de idiomas puedan utilizarlo como un recurso.

Para los principiantes tiene algunos artículos escritos en inglés y español muy sencillos. En orden de dificultad que son:

Mi nombre es Juan.

El alumno intermedio encontrará algunos artículos escritos para tratar de mantener el texto lo más parecido posible para que oración por oración el significado sea el mismo. Esto llevará a que el artículo que no pueda fluir bien en ambos idiomas pero ayuda a alumnos de nivel intermedio. Un ejemplo es el primer informe de Arturo sobre basquetbol y Uruguay 1-0 Mexico

El lector experimentado puede mejorar su vocabulario y acostumbrarse a los usos locales de el idioma.

Notas:

La gramática no es siempre correcta. Tratamos, pero es una lucha. Hay una sección de comentarios en la que nos puede ayudar a corregir los errores en ambos idiomas. Creemos que para aprender el idioma es más importante que para aprenderlo 100% gramaticalmente correcto así que por favor disfruten. Si la traducción no se ha aprobado por alquien que habla español la primer linea va a decire “Todavia estamos comprobando la traducción”. Lo siento pero no tenemos tiempo suficiente para trducir todos los articulos.
