Education Committee of Los Amigos

Objectives of the Committee

The Education Committee is a committee of Los Amigos de La Peñita.  The committee works with teachers, parents and other community members to improve education in our community.

Objectives:

To provide better education in our community
To empower parents and teachers to help their children to a better education         
To develop leadership skills of students, parents and teachers

Projects: Current projects of the Education Committee include construction and repair of schools, student competitions and assistance to teachers in the classroom.

El Gran Bazar: This annual fund raiser occurred in mid December 2009 and April 24, 2010.  It is basically a garage sale with entertainment.  It represents a great way to raise funds and redistribute wealth.

Kermés: This fund raiser brought out parents and kids and some foreigners to enjoy an evening of entertainment and food.
