Ecopark

Location: Colonia Pescadores, La Peñita de Jaltemba, Nayarit, Mexico ( corner of C. Mazatlan and B. Acapulco).

Objective: To provide a safe and active park space for the community and promote ecological sustainability in the community.

Facilities 2008: Basketball court, Volleyball court, Soccer field, Children’s playground

Objectives for 2008: Clean up park (Done), paint and repair equipment (done), install lighting (installed), add paths, tables and benches (done with government funds as part of a very large improvement).

The project was initiated by a committee of neighbours who wish to express their gratitude to Los Amigos de La Peñita for their financial support, our local government  AND of course the volunteers without whom the project would not have been possible.
