DIF / INAPAM Card

The DIF card or INAPAM card  is a credential that is available to all people with citizenship or residence status in Mexico who are over the age of 60.  In some areas only the INAPAM card is issued and used.

It allows seniors to receive discounts of 5% to 30% on some things like bus tickets, hospital visits, some restaurant, theatres, parks, museums….

The card is free and does not have to be renewed.

You can apply for it at the DIF office in your area.

DIF stands for Desarollo Integral de la Familia (Intergrated Family Development). It is the basic social services organization of the government of Mexico. In our area it provides food for needy families, runs a daycare centre, provides a course for couples about to be married and lots more.

INAPAM stands for Instituto National de las personas adultos Mayores – literally national institute for older adults.
