Mexican Insurance

Your Canadian or U.S. insurance does not cover you once you cross the border into Mexico.

You can buy Mexican auto insurance at one of the many offices which exist in the border towns on the U.S. side or immediately after you cross the border.

There are also many on line websites that will sell you the insurance.

Auto insurance is not required in Mexico but it is STRONGLY recommended.
