Food – Comida!
By Marilyn Miller, food editor.
I love food! Don’t you? And I love exploring all things food. You are invited to contribute, explore and enjoy the wonderful abundance and history we have, not only in the Jaltemba Bay area; but, in all of Mexico. There are so many opportunities to explore how the indigenous and original cuisines of Mexico were influenced by other cultures. There are so many examples right here of excellent food, from comfort food to exotic to international.
Comida! is a new feature of Jaltemba Jalapeno. Interviews of local restraurant owners, chefs, and good cooks along with their favorite (and sometimes secret) recipes will be featured here. Stories and information on ingredients grown and produced in Mexico will also be included. We will also be building the Restaurant and Recipe index.
Join me as a contributor, send your ideas and your favorites to me at Marilyn@GuayabitosBedandBreakfast.com.
Editor’s note: We are delighted to have Marilyn as Food Editor for the Jalapeño. Marilyn, with her husband Rick, own and operate a B and B in Rincon de Guayabitos, Nayarit, Mexico. You can visit their web site here.

What a great idea, Carol! You are a great MIL. I do know some classes are available locally. Watch for a future article this fall on cooking classes available in the Jaltemba Bay area.
Do you have cooking classes?
We are going to be in Rincon towards the end of February 2010 and I thought a class
for my son in law would be wonderful.
Thank you,
Carol myckan
