Finding Lost Civilizations by Alex Kerekes

Alex´s book about his travels in Nayarit includes many stories located in the Jaltemba Bay area.

In his invitation to read his book on line Alex says:

While trekking through the State of Nayarit my primary purpose was to discover petroglyphs and signs of ancient civilizations. Many of the artifacts illustrated in my books were shown to me by local natives who shared their stories. Surprisingly, many objects were observed still laying on the ground in areas where villages and life had once existed many years before. I did not conduct excavations of archaeological sites or tombs as this is prohibited in Mexico.

March 18, 2011 – Presently, I am in Alamos-Sonora and have filmed a great trek-expedition to find some ancient cave paintings. I will produce a short video of the trip in several weeks and post it on my web site.
