Trees of Nayarit

Here you will find some of the more interesting trees located in the Jaltemba Bay area of Nayarit, Mexico.  Click a link above.

This is a work in progress. Each tree is featured with its special characteristics. Tracking the trees through their seasonal changes will take time. A number of trees in the community have been selected so they can be revisited. Some of the most spectacular ones have been chosen for this purpose but others are chosen because they are in a location where they are easy to access often and safely.

We invite contributions of whole collections of photos of a particular tree or just individual ones that are of interest because they show some feature of the tree or an interesting location, perhaps in a spectacular setting or a particularly interesting shape…..

You can submit your suggestion and photos by email to jaltembajal@gmail.com. If it is a spectacular tree you know about and don’t want to photograph it yourself just tell us where it is and why it ranks.
