Balloons, flowers, butterflies, royalty, story book and cartoon characters were featured in the parade as little people welcomed spring and celebrated the closing of school for two weeks.
Except for the few late floats which brought up the rear of the parade, the Primavera parade started on time. The parade consisted of the younger classes of the schools in the area.
The little ones delighted the onlookers. Some had the puzzled look as to what was going on and what role they were supposed to be playing in all the hoopla. This little guy sat with his arm poised to throw but forgot to throw as he was mesmerized by the crowd.
There were lots of royalty but the kinder version of the royal wave was a single handed throw of candy projectiles. There will be those on a sugar high tonight because I saw some pretty big loot bags.
Sometimes it’s difficult to decide who is more excited, the children or the parents.
