Ever since it open in October of 2013 La Tratorria was getting good reviews on the forum so I headed out to sample their fare one pleasant La Peñita evening.
Juan came to La Peñita about 8 years ago from the family home near Gauadalajara. With the help of family in the US he purchased the property and built the restaurant with two apartments above. Juan said, “It was always our intent to start an Italian restaurant. We are especially happy with the response of the community.”.
I had the Ravioli with Pesto sauce. It was very good. The house was packed that night but the service was still quick and friendly.
The pastas are hand made in house as you would expect from a really good Italian restaurant. In fact breads, sauces and almost everything is made right there.

You can dine inside
or on the patio.
The pizzas I saw coming out of the kitchen looked especially good.
