The BYOBra event last night at Piña Colada in Gauyabitos, to support the fight against Breast Cancer, was full of fun. I did wonder what the casual passer by may have thought (()).
The organizing team was dressed in PINK. ((Nice wheels.))
My favorite auctioneer was there (taller than the others) ((Why is he dressed so funny?))
and his better half sported a rather racy bra. ((Maybe she was in a hurry to get dressed.))
Barbie made a surprise appearance with her grandma. At least I was surprised. ((Who is that good looking woman and why is she undressing that doll? ))
There was some fooling around which did not surprise me at all considering who was there. ((WHO are these people???))
Jim was heard to say with a broad grin, “I could never get away with this anywhere else.” ((They must be Canadian eh! The mittens are a dead give away.))
Also attending was one of my favorite photographers. You can catch his photos on the JaltembaSol.com.
((Duct tape really does have a million and one uses.))

your an awesome non stop pink fundraising, cancer kicking gal and I am glad to know you
This world needs more wonderful/caring people like you Flo
Great job Flo, once again hard at work. You do so much for everyone you touch! Can’t wait for you to get home! Love you sista!
Shouldn’t this all say in support or FIGHTING breast cancer, not in support of cancer? I think things are getting lost in translation… here’s what I know. FLO IS AMAZING in any language
Keep up the good work mama!!!
Thanks Brittany – fixed that – I will be more precise in future.
Keep up the good work Flo,,,we love you
Great job Flo ! You are a wonderful person doing everything you can to kick cancer to the curb ! Looks like fun was had by all, wishing you many blessings to come your way.
Glad to hear your fundraiser was lots of fun and successful too, Flobee, and that all the hard work your organizers put in paid off — having fundraised with you more than once, I know that your enthusiasm and dedication in fighting cancer this way has inspired many others and I know too that your empathy for our survivors is phenomenal. I’m sure that if there was any confusion with anyone else’s fundraising down thar that it was unintentional and moreover, that you would always go that extra mile to clear things up. We are all fighting the same foe after all
. Best wishes, Willi
This is so great. I love all the hard work everyone is doing on the bras. Bring a huge smile to my face as my Mom is a breast cancer survivor. HUG & KISSES from Canada
What a great way to have fun and raise money for a wonderful cause! To the curb, you dog!
God bless you Flo – you are the most tireless crusader of fighting this horrific disease that I know. You inspire the rest of us to work harder at “kicking it to the curb” also. Even when you are out of the country – you still find time to help raise funds for this great cause. I’m working on building a pink bra for the next one. Keep up the fantastic work – wherever you are!
I love it! What a great, and fun, way to raise money for a great cause! I want to donate a bra next time!
FLO YOU ROCK! You tirelessly work (and ride) to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. You continually devote your time to show us the way to fight the fight. By example, you empower and challenge us to take those small steps that can lead to great accomplishments. Thank you for all you do!
Flo, you have a heart of gold, and it is in the right place. Thank you for all you do to primote awareness, and raise funds!
Thank you Flo for what you do wherever you are – trying to make a difference. It all helps, as long as the funds are going to help cancer in whatever way it is needed.
Cancer knows no boundaries! Flo -glad to see that you are raising awareness and money to donate. Those photos of the Mexican men in bras make me proud of them. They must LOVE their women!! Let’s unite and get rid of cancer!
Am glad this was corrected because in this area Cancer de Mama is used almost solely in relationship to the clinic that’s being held in February. The money/funding that is raised for the clinic is used soley for the Cancer de Mama Clinic.
The Clinic’s only function is to assist the women of Mexico who have had breast cancer. Approximately 300 women will have their lives enriched by the Cancer de Mama Clinic in February. A big thanks for all of the community efforts to help women with breast cancer, whether it’s the Cancer de Mama Clinic, the Cancer Walk, the Cookbook organization and/or any other fundraiser or organization that donates it’s proceeds to help the women of Mexico.
Lyndy… thanks for the comment. I sure had no intentions of offending anyone, just helping. I will certainly be at any event that is put on for any kind of cancer in any way, yours included. Let’s kick it together! I lost a sister to cancer, not bc, I have friends, fighting it, all different kinds. Some are terminal, some are in total remission, some are gone, some of us think about it everyday, when it can hit ourself… together we can make a difference.
Flo….You are one of the most caring and giving persons that I have the honor and pride saying to everyone that you are my friend. I love you like a sister and I know that everything you do, you do it from your heart. All the days, months and years you devote to organizing our Conga’s to help to eliminate cancer is remarkable. You are the driving force behind so many of these fund raisers and rides. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do in your efforts to kick cancer to the curb for our brothers, sisters, friends and neighbors. We love you!
cáncer de mama, translated to English is breast cancer!!!
All money has been donated to kick start the fundraising for walk this Feb 14. I’m not exactly positive what area they use the money for… detection I believe. We are happy to have helped in some small way.
This event did not support Cancer de Mama…it only supports Cancer in the community…need to get the facts correct!!!
Thank you Guest for making that correction. I received a note from Flo which said “Bras will be auctioned off for Cancer de Mama” and assumed it would be used locally since she told me that was one of the differences between this event and others she had organized across North America.
